Airsoft participant regulations

1. Conditions

1.1 Age
The minimum participation age for a Unit 13 Airsoft event is 18 years, no exceptions. The minimum participation age for a Unit 13 Kids Airsoft event is from 12 years.

1.2 Permits
The participant must be aware of all requirements and permits to practice the airsoft sport if applicable. (For example, Belgian Players only need an Unit 13 ticket. With regard to a written request based on Article 17E of the Weapons and Ammunition Regulations.) For more information you can always Contact us

1.3 Pets
Pets/animals are not allowed.

1.4 Parking
Unit 13 has a parking place available. But Unit 13 is not responsible for any damage to your vehicle. The normal traffic rules apply. Noise disturbance is undesirable and the environment must be treated with respect. Replica’s must be transported in a weapon bag/case up to the safety zone!

1.5 Destruction, loss or damage
The grounds and playing fields may not be damaged or destroyed intentionally or culpably. If this does happen, you must notify Unit 13 immediately. In the event of intentional or culpable damage, destruction or wantonness, the costs will be recovered from the person responsible. Damage, destruction and / or defects to a rental kit that are due to recklessness, negligence, culpable guilt or intent will be recovered from the player. Normal replica wear falls under the costs of Unit 13.

1.6 Reservation private event
Reservations can be cancelled maximum two weeks prior to the reserved date, without costs. If the cancelation takes place after the determined time period of three weeks prior to the reserved date, 50% of the total costs will be brought into account and will be charged to you. In case of a cancelation 1 week prior to the reserved date, 90% of the total amount will be charged.

1.7 Discounts/deals
Discounts or special deals that are given on basis of a number of people given in advance, will be void if less people then noted show up. Unit 13 will then use the normal pricing.

1.8 Course of event
During the whole event, you can approach Unit 13 marshals in case of problems or discussions. They are also there for the progress and safety of everyone. Therefore, their instructions have to be followed at all times. During the event it’s not allowed to go back to the parking lot.

1.9 Drinks and food
Taking food and drink with you on a Unit 13 event is not permitted. The organization provides the option to purchase drinks, sweets or a hot meal on site at competitive prices.

1.10 Alcohol & drugs
Handling and using airsoft guns does not combine with soft/hard drugs. It goes without saying that this is completely prohibited, prior, during and after the event. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation, and not prior or during the game. Participants can be refused from entry by the Unit 13 organization on ground of (or suspicion of) alcohol or drugs intoxication. A participant found in this state will be immediately excluded from further participation, without the possibility of a refund. The police can be informed.

1.11 Liability
Unit 13 is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from participation in the forum or our events. For more information, see our terms & conditions.

1.12 Accidents /EMS (EHBO)
On both the open events as on the private events, EMS (EHBO) Emergency Medical Services are always present. The organization must be notified immediately in case of an accident. If needed, the game will be stopped and everybody will have to wait in the respawn or safety zone. Always bring your insurance pass with you to the Unit 13 events.

In case you’re not insured, participating is your own risk and both Unit 13 and the accident insurance will not be responsible for any damage.

1.13 Extreme Ideologies
Badges, flags, logos and/or clothing with a reference to illegal groupings are not allowed at the Unit 13 events. In case you want to know more about this, you can mail us at: info@unit13.eu

1.14 Third party Commerce
It is explicitly prohibited to set up shop at the Unit 13 events, without permission of Unit 13.
BB/accessories sale, drinks, replica rental or product sale and/or making advertisement is not allowed. Violation of this results in an immediate expulsion, without the possibility of a refund.

1.15 Offences
In the event of a legal offence at a Unit 13 event, we are bound to notify the police.

1.16 Rental Kits
Participants renting a rental kit from Unit 13 Outdoor Adventures must carry an ID card, and are required to complete the "Rental Form". They are not allowed to use their own BBs (ammo) and / or magazines. Also, the rental equipment may not be passed on to other participants. The rental equipment is registered in name and must be returned complete. In case of excessive use, Unit 13 Outdoor Adventures can recover the damage from the person concerned.

1.17 Clothing
It is strongly recommended to wear sporty clothing & sturdy closed sporty shoes during a Unit 13 event. Heels/slippers are not suitable for running around in our arena!

2.The Replica law

2.1 transport of a replica
Your replica is prohibited by law to be transported visually, and/or ready for use. Please transport your replica in a locked case. We also recommend you separate your BB’s and magazine from your replica during transport. Your replica may only be unpacked within the safety zone!

2.2 Real weapons/alarm guns
It is forbidden to have real firearms or weapons (knifes, daggers, bayonets etc.) with you during the event. Imitation knives are allowed, but they must be flexible.

2.3 General operations
Your replicas must only be made ready for use in the relevant rooms of Unit 13. Your replicas must therefore be transported from the parking to the safety zone in a weapon bag or weapon case, in accordance with Unit 13 regulations. It is also not allowed to arrive in full camouflage clothing. Only camouflage pants with "citizen" clothing are allowed.

2.4 Lasers
Only class 1 and class 2 visible lasers are permitted. All other classes (including class 1M and 2M) are prohibited. Lasers may only be used as a guide and not for blinding. We reserve the right to refuse lasers if there is insufficient class evidence.

3. Airsoft rules

3.1 Airsoft replicas, FPS and playstyle
Only airsoft replicas are allowed during Unit 13 events.
Replicas of weapons and equipment are permitted, provided they are completely inert, cannot function in any way, and do not violate applicable laws.
Due to joule creep and excessive impact energy, only BB weights up to and including 0.25 grams are allowed in our CQB arena. Additionally, there must be at least 0.5 seconds between each shot.

Unit 13 applies a controlled CQB playstyle where safety, honesty and teamwork are central. All participants are expected to play in a controlled and disciplined manner.

Undesirable behavior includes, but is not limited to: excessively fast firing (trigger spamming), uncontrolled shooting (“spray & pray”), aggressive or reckless gameplay, and deliberately creating disputes or refusing to take hits.

Such behavior may result in a warning or sanction by the marshals. Unit 13 marshals have the final say at all times in assessing playstyle and behavior.
The maximum allowed muzzle velocity of projectiles using 0.20 gram BBs is set as follows:

360 FPS (5 FPS margin)
For any airsoft replica with automatic BB feeding, the maximum is 360 FPS with a margin up to 365 FPS (measured with 0.20 gram BBs). Anything above 365 FPS is not allowed.

500 FPS (5 FPS margin) Note! Not allowed within CQB
For airsoft replicas with manual BB feeding, specifically sniper rifle replicas, the maximum is 500 FPS. A minimum engagement distance of 15 meters applies.
Within 15 meters, the player must switch to another replica.

Anything above 500 FPS (5 FPS margin) is strictly prohibited. FPS reducers are not allowed.

All airsoft replicas will be tested by the organization before the event starts.
Participants may be subject to additional testing of their replicas at any time.

3.2 FPS Limit Specification

3.3 FPS test station
You are required at the start of a skirm to have your replica tested at the Unit 13 FPS measurement station.
All measurements are to be shot with 0.20gram BB’s which we will provide.
When your replica shoots within the FPS limits, you will get a visual marking on your replica.
In game you may be tested as a control. If your replica does not comply with the FPS limits, this will lead to a sanction. If joule creep is suspected, a joule measurement is done.

HPA (High Pressure Air) & CO2 Rigs Players who have HPA and / or CO2 setups, of which the FPS can be adjusted, must have a possibility on the replica and / or regulator to have this secured against interim adjustment from the FPS. If your setup does not allow to be fused, the setup is not allowed!

3.4 Safety briefing
Every participant is required to be present at the safety briefing. This starts at the designated time by the Unit 13 marshals. If you are not present at the briefing, because you might be too late or have had a delay, there is a possibility on a briefing at the rental stand (safety zone) on request. You do not have access to the event without the safety briefing!

3.5 CQB (Close Quarter Battle, Playing in buildings)
3.5A
On the CQB terrains (buildings etc.) the playing distance is drastically reduced and extra protection is certainly needed. We highly recommend a full face mask to be sufficiently protected against eventual BB impacts in the facial area.
Unit 13 cannot be held responsible for accidents when the player has not taken the sufficient precautions for his own physical integrity.

3.5B
Within a CQB zone, only single-shot is allowed, burst functions are not allowed! Only replicas that can shoot single shot and shoot under the 360 FPS are allowed. Sniper rifles under the 360 FPS are allowed, but not recommended. Full auto only replicas are not permitted.

3.5C
It is not allowed to move or destroy windows, doors and/or walls. The costs are recovered from the responsible person. (See Article 1.5)
Thinking of the intentional use of windows, doors and / or walls for your tactical advantage. You stay away from the windows and do not damage (pierce) the walls! Violation of this prohibition can lead to immediate removal of the event without reimbursement of money paid.

3.6 “Hit”-system
Within airsoft we use the Honor system. This means, that you must be honest about if you are hit or not. If you are hit, clearly shout “hit” if possible, raise your hand or replica immediately and put on a fluorescent vest or use a hit sock / hit rag. This way you indicate that you are no longer in-game. Then follow the Medic rule or go back to your respawn.

The marshalls of Unit 13 monitor whether you are also taking your hit. If you do not do this, you will receive a sanction from them, a note on your wristband. You then go to the respawn. With a 2nd similar note, you will be permanently removed from the game. (More information on this in Article 3.8)
Honesty is important within the airsoft.

3.7 Hit on airsoft weapon
Whenever you are hit on your airsoft weapon, it counts as a hit. You can proceed the game with your sidearm, if available. Do shout “Weapon hit” clearly so your enemy knows you cannot use your hit weapon.

3.8 The Cheaters bracelet
All players of Unit 13 get a wrist bracelet (also called cheaters bracelet) on an open event, with a personal number. On this bracelet, a marshall can mark you with a stripe or a cross. Two stripes make a cross. These will be used if you hinder the gameplay or break any of the rules. Depending of the severity of the offence, a stripe or a cross will be marked. Unit 13 keeps the notes in its system. This means that if you have received a cross, it will remain in place for two open events. With two crosses you will be removed from the site without refund of paid monies and you will no longer be allowed to participate in Unit 13 events for a period of 6 months.

3.9 Pyrotechnic Materials
Pay attention! The use of Pyrotechnic material is not permitted! Email us for more information!

3.9A
Non-pyros that are thrown into a room clear/kill everyone in the entire room. . All non-pyros are classified as "grenades". Outside, the7 meter rule applies, so everything in a radius of 7 meters is "Hit". Smokes are not allowed.

3.9B
Non-Pyrotechnic grenades that are not similar to an explosive are permitted. To date, these are only the Airsoft Innovation Tornado shells, without spoonkit, in all colors except black. The Avatar grenades, the Strataim Nova Episolon grenades, the E-RAZ airsoft grenade & the ASG Storm Apocalypse Grenades

3.9C
Non-pyrotechnic material may not be thrown over a wall of a building, but only through the windows / doors.

3.10 Knife Kill
If you are in the possession of a dummy knife, you can also make a knife kill. You take your knife and tap the player with it on his shoulder or body. The player has to take his knife kill and must go back to the respawn. At an open event, the medic system cannot be applied here. (See article 3.19 for more information about the medic system). The knife kill is silent, in which the player does not shout "HIT", but instead walks straight to the respawn.

3.11 Blind firing
Blind firing is certainly not allowed. Blind firing is a process where a player shoots his replica but does not have visual contact with his or her target. Often this is done around a corner or across cover. There is a sanction for this unsafe way of shooting.

3.12 Violence
Physical and / or verbal abuse is certainly not allowed at Unit 13. If you do this, against another player or a marshall, you will be penalized. In the event of physical violence, the player is immediately removed from the site.

3.13 Dead men don’t speak
When you are hit, you will not discuss tactical information with your team. This includes through your radio, you are out of game. If you still do this, you run the risk that a marshall will catch you on this and the marshall will then mark your cheaters bracelet. The only words you may utter are: “hit”,”Medic”, “dead man walking” or “dead men don’t speak”.

3.14 The Safety zone
Whenever you enter a safety zone, think of the 4 safety measures: 1. remove you magazine from your replica (including your sidearm or grenade launcher) 2. Clear your replica by firing several times into a safe direction 3. Switch your gun on safe 4.Keep your replica vertical at all times, keep your finger off the trigger.
Firing in, through, at, or out a safety zone is not allowed! No dry shots in the safety zone! (Firing your gun without actually firing a BB)This is strictly prohibited! If a marshall still see this, the player in question will receive a note on his/her cheater bracelet. Unit 13 rental crew is an exception to this rule.
Whenever you leave the safety zone, it will clearly be marked with signs. Before you pass these signs, you put on your safety glasses and/or mask. Your safety precautions will not be taken off until you return to the safety zone. It is not allowed to aim your replica at someone within the safety zone. Upon entering the safety zone, you direct your replica up or down. Your finger is off the trigger.

Whenever you violate the safety rule, you will immediately get a mark on your cheaters bracelet. We take your safety and the safety for others very serious!

3.15 Safety glasses
Outside the safety zone you are required to wear approved (ANSI Z87.1 and/or CE EN166) safety glasses or a mask. It is not permitted under any circumstances to take off these glasses or this mask on the playing field! If a marshall finds this, you will receive a note on the cheaters bracelet.

3.16 BB’s
Only approved BBs are permitted at Unit 13. Metals, glasses, ceramic or non-plastic BBs are prohibited. Maximum weight 0.25 grams BB! It is not allowed to play with your own bb's in the rental replicas of Unit 13!
When in doubt about the harmfulness of the BBs, the marshall has the final say.

- G&G BIO & TRACER BB'S
- MADBULL BIO BB's

Any other brand is not allowed!

3.17 Sound signals
Unit 13 works with a number of sound signals
1 x long - start of the game
3 x long - end of the game
1 x short - attention (marshal use)

3.18 Smoking
Smoking is only allowed on the indicated places.

3.19 Medic system (only open events)
In case of a hit, the wounded gets down and shouts Medic. The medic is recognized by an upper-arm-band with a red cross (provided on location).
The medic will then come to him and is allowed to heal the wounded by tying a red ribbon around his/her leg. At that moment, the wounded is back in play.
The medic must heal the “wounded player” within 5 minutes otherwise the wounded is dead, and has to walk back to the respawn zone. The wounded player may also decide to “be dead” and return to the respawn.
If the "injured player" moves before being healed, this is considered a hit, and he must return to the respawn. (Injured players may be carried away in a realistic way)
The medic has a limited number of ribbons with him to heal his wounded. A player can only be healed once.
If the healed player returns to the respawn after a hit, he must take off his medic ribbon and leave it here for the medic. The medic can then pick up the ribbons here and take them again when on a shortage!
Just like the other players, the medic has to stick to the rules: Hit is hit. A medic may therefore also be cured by another medic. Healing himself is therefore not allowed.
A player who is killed with a knife kill may not use the Medic, he must return to the respawn.

3.20 In-Game vehicles
Unit 13 can use In-Game vehicles / vessels. The vehicles / vessels are operated by marshalls and will follow the commands of the occupant, if this is possible / feasible. The driver has the final say at all times. The danger of getting under the vehicle / vessel must always be taken into account. The occupant may be shot at, but unnecessary firing on vehicles / vessels will not be tolerated. The vehicles / vessels can be switched off by causing non-pyros (shells / flashbangs) to explode under the vehicle. If the vehicle is equipped with mounted replicas, then these may (with respect) be operated by players. The maximum passenger capacity for vehicles will be indicated by the controlling marshall.

3.21 Shields (Riot shield)
The use of shields during Unit 13 events is not allowed!

Complaints and/or suggestions:
Unit 13 is open to suggestions. In case something isn’t to your satisfaction, or if you have a serious complaint about the service, please do not hesitate, and talk to a marshal in the safety zone (not during play) they will then forward you to the manager of Unit 13, who will definitly listen to you.

Finally

If a marshall finds that you are breaking any of the above rules, it will mark your cheater bracelet. You must leave the playing area with two markings.

We reserve the right to immediately remove you from the site in the event of serious violations, such as physical conflicts.

Immediate removal will also follow if you use alcoholic beverages or narcotics shortly before or during the event. This in connection with your and our safety.

Unit 13 reserves the right to change these rules retroactively without notice.

General Rules & Regulations Unit 13

1. General

1.1 Applicability
These rules and regulations apply to all visitors of Unit 13 and cover the entire premises, including all activities, attractions, and facilities.

1.2 Admission and identification
Unit 13 reserves the right to refuse or revoke access to the premises if deemed necessary for safety, order, or the proper conduct of activities.

1.3 Supervision of minors
Parents and/or guardians are fully responsible for supervising minors at all times. Unit 13 does not accept responsibility for supervising minors outside of guided activities.

1.4 Pets
Pets are not allowed.

1.5 Parking
Unit 13 provides on-site parking. Parking is at your own risk. Unit 13 is not liable for damage to or theft from vehicles. General traffic rules apply on the premises.

1.6 Prohibited items
It is not permitted to bring weapons, sharp objects, or other dangerous items onto the premises. Unit 13 reserves the right to carry out inspections.

2. Conduct and safety

2.1 General conduct
Visitors must behave respectfully towards other guests, staff, and the environment. Any behavior that disrupts safety, the experience, or the flow of activities is not permitted.

2.2 Safety
Running, climbing on decorations, installations, or structures, or engaging in any unsafe behavior outside designated activity areas is not allowed.

2.3 Staff instructions
Instructions given by staff must be followed immediately and without discussion. Staff have the final say in all matters regarding safety and the conduct of activities.

2.4 Violence and criminal offenses
Physical and/or verbal violence is strictly prohibited. In the event of criminal offenses, the police will be notified.

2.5 Alcohol and drugs
The use of soft or hard drugs is strictly prohibited. Visitors under the influence may be refused entry or removed from the premises without refund.

2.6 Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

2.7 Cleanliness and hygiene
Visitors must keep the premises clean and dispose of waste in designated bins.

3. Use of facilities

3.1 General use
Visitors must handle all facilities, attractions, and property of Unit 13 with care.

3.2 Damage and vandalism
It is prohibited to intentionally or negligently damage property. Any damage will be charged to the responsible party.

3.3 Equipment and attractions
Equipment, games, and attractions must not be used improperly. If in doubt, always consult a staff member.

3.4 Misuse of facilities
Deliberately disrupting activities, sabotaging games, or misusing systems is not allowed and may result in removal from the premises.

3.5 Food and drinks
Bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted. Food and beverages are available on-site.

4. Health and incidents

4.1 Accidents
In case of an accident, a staff member must be informed immediately. Activities may be paused if necessary.

4.2 Own risk
Entering the premises and participating in activities is at your own risk. For more information, please refer to our general terms and conditions.

4.3 Technical issues and force majeure
Unit 13 is not liable for interruptions of activities due to technical failures or force majeure. Where possible, a suitable solution will be provided.

5. Other

5.1 Image recordings
Taking photos and videos for personal use is permitted, provided other visitors are not recorded without consent. Unit 13 may create visual material for promotional purposes.

5.2 Commercial activities
Commercial activities such as selling, promotion, or advertising are not permitted without prior permission from Unit 13.

5.3 Violations
Violations of these rules may result in a warning or removal from the premises without refund.

5.4 Order and safety
Unit 13 reserves the right to immediately remove visitors from the premises in case of inappropriate behavior, dangerous situations, or failure to follow instructions.

5.5 Changes
Unit 13 reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations at any time.

5.6 Activity-specific rules
Additional rules may apply per attraction or activity. These will be communicated in advance and must be followed at all times.
