General Regulations

1. General

1.1 Applicability
These regulations apply to all visitors, participants and supervisors of Unit 13 and apply throughout the entire premises, including all activities, playing areas, attractions and facilities.

In addition to these regulations, the General Terms and Conditions of Unit 13, the house rules and any activity-specific safety rules shall apply.

If these regulations conflict with the General Terms and Conditions, the General Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Specific safety instructions issued by Unit 13 for an activity must always be followed.

1.2 Access
Unit 13 reserves the right to refuse or terminate access to the premises or participation in activities where this is necessary for reasons of safety, order, conduct, failure to comply with rules or other justified circumstances.

Where participation is refused due to outstanding payments or previous reservations, the General Terms and Conditions shall apply.

1.3 Minors and supervision
Parents, guardians and/or supervisors are responsible for supervising minors outside activities that take place under the supervision of Unit 13.

During supervised activities, minor participants must follow all instructions issued by Unit 13 staff and instructors.

1.4 Pets
Pets and other animals are not permitted on the premises of Unit 13 unless Unit 13 has expressly granted prior permission or admission is required by law.

1.5 Parking
Unit 13 provides parking facilities on its premises.

Visitors must park vehicles carefully and only in designated parking areas and must follow all applicable traffic and safety instructions on the premises.

Parking is at the vehicle owner’s own risk. Any liability of Unit 13 is governed by the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions.

1.6 Prohibited items
Weapons, sharp objects or other dangerous items may not be brought onto the Unit 13 premises unless they are expressly permitted for a specific activity and comply with applicable legal and safety requirements.

Specific Airsoft rules and the General Terms and Conditions apply to Airsoft devices and Airsoft equipment.

Unit 13 is entitled to carry out checks where necessary for safety purposes and may refuse prohibited items on the premises.

2. Conduct and safety

2.1 General conduct
Visitors must behave respectfully towards other visitors, participants, employees and the surroundings.

Conduct that disrupts safety, order, the experience of others or the normal course of activities is not permitted.

2.2 Safe conduct
Outside designated playing and activity areas, it is not permitted to:

• run where doing so may create an unsafe situation;
• climb on scenery, installations, obstacles or structures;
• enter restricted or closed-off areas;
• operate equipment or safety systems without permission;
• otherwise behave in an unsafe or reckless manner.

Within playing and activity areas, the specific rules and safety instructions applicable to the relevant activity must be followed.

2.3 Staff instructions
Instructions issued by Unit 13 employees, instructors and marshals relating to safety, order and the conduct of activities must be followed immediately.

If an employee, instructor or marshal considers that an activity can no longer be continued safely, the activity may be interrupted or terminated immediately.

2.4 Violence, threats and criminal offences
Physical violence, threats, intimidation, aggressive behaviour, discrimination and deliberate vandalism are prohibited.

In the event of criminal offences, serious threats, violence or other serious incidents, Unit 13 may contact the police and/or file a police report.

2.5 Alcohol and drugs
The possession and/or use of soft or hard drugs on the premises is prohibited.

Participation in activities while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances that may impair safe participation is not permitted.

The General Terms and Conditions and the specific rules applicable to the relevant activity also apply to the use of alcohol before or during activities.

Unit 13 may refuse access or participation to persons who are under the influence or remove them from the premises.

2.6 Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in areas specifically designated by Unit 13.

2.7 Cleanliness and hygiene
Visitors must keep the premises clean and dispose of waste in the designated waste facilities.

3. Use of facilities and equipment

3.1 General use
Visitors and participants must handle all facilities, materials, games, attractions, equipment and other property belonging to Unit 13 with due care.

3.2 Damage and vandalism
Intentional damage, vandalism or culpable misuse of Unit 13 property is prohibited.

The provisions of Article 7 of the General Terms and Conditions apply to liability for and recovery of damage.

3.3 Equipment, games and attractions
Equipment, games, materials and attractions may only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the instructions provided.

Defects, damage or potentially unsafe situations must be reported to a staff member immediately. Equipment or materials that may be defective or unsafe must not continue to be used.

3.4 Misuse and sabotage
Deliberately disrupting activities or manipulating or sabotaging games, equipment, safety devices or systems is prohibited.

Violation may result in immediate termination of participation and/or removal from the premises.

3.5 Food and drinks
The General Terms and Conditions of Unit 13 and any instructions given on site apply to bringing and consuming your own food and drinks.

Food and drinks are available for purchase on site.

4. Health, safety and incidents

4.1 Accidents and incidents
Any accident, injury, defect, dangerous situation or other safety incident must be reported to a Unit 13 employee as soon as possible.

Where necessary for safety reasons, an activity may be interrupted or terminated immediately.

4.2 Risks and liability
Activities offered by Unit 13 may involve physical, sporting, competitive and/or adventurous risks.

The normal and foreseeable risks associated with participation, the responsibilities of participants, the safety obligations of Unit 13 and the liability of Unit 13 are set out in detail in Article 11 of the General Terms and Conditions.

Liability shall be governed exclusively by the General Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

4.3 Technical failures, emergencies and force majeure
In the event of technical failures, emergencies, evacuations, government measures, failure of utilities or other circumstances that prevent an activity from being carried out fully or partially, activities may be modified, interrupted or terminated.

The rights and obligations of Unit 13 and the customer in such circumstances are governed by the force majeure provisions in Article 12 of the General Terms and Conditions.

4.4 Safety instructions and briefing
For Airsoft and Tactical Lasergame, completion of the digital safety briefing provided by Unit 13 is mandatory before participation.

Participation is not permitted until the required briefing has been completed.

The applicable provisions are contained in the General Terms and Conditions and the activity-specific regulations.

5. Photography, video and privacy

5.1 Photography and video recordings by visitors
Photography and video recordings for private use are permitted provided that:

• the safety and conduct of activities are not disrupted;
• the privacy of other visitors and participants is respected;
• instructions issued by staff are followed;
• no different rules apply to the relevant activity or location.

Prior permission from Unit 13 is required for commercial recordings, professional productions, promotional recordings or any other commercial use.

5.2 Privacy, camera surveillance and image material
The current Unit 13 Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data, camera surveillance and photographs and videos created by or on behalf of Unit 13.

The current Unit 13 Cookie Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used on the website.

6. Other provisions

6.1 Commercial activities
Commercial activities may not be carried out on Unit 13 premises without prior permission, including sales, promotion, customer acquisition, advertising, commercial photography or other commercial services.

6.2 Violations of the regulations
In the event of a violation of these regulations, the General Terms and Conditions, activity-specific rules or staff instructions, Unit 13 may, depending on the seriousness of the violation:

• issue a warning;
• immediately terminate participation;
• remove the visitor or participant from the premises;
• refuse future access or participation;
• where necessary, contact the police or other competent authorities.

Termination or removal as a result of culpable conduct by the visitor or participant does not create any right to a refund or compensation, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

6.3 Order and safety
Unit 13 may immediately remove visitors or participants from the premises or terminate participation in the event of dangerous behaviour, serious disruption of order, aggression, intimidation, failure to follow safety instructions or other situations that endanger safety.

6.4 Activity-specific rules
Additional rules and safety requirements may apply to individual activities, including Airsoft, Junior Airsoft, Tactical Lasergame and other games, events and packages.

The safety rules and instructions applicable to the relevant activity must be followed at all times.

6.5 Amendments
Unit 13 reserves the right to amend these regulations where necessary due to safety considerations, business operations, changes to activities or applicable regulations.

The General Terms and Conditions of Unit 13 shall remain decisive with regard to contractual rights and obligations.

Final note

Unit 13 aims to ensure that every visitor can enjoy the facilities in a safe and pleasant manner.

By entering the premises and/or participating in activities, every visitor is expected to comply with these regulations, the General Terms and Conditions, applicable safety rules and instructions issued by staff.

Airsoft Regulations

These Airsoft Regulations contain the specific safety and gameplay rules applicable to Airsoft activities at Unit 13.

The General Regulations and General Terms and Conditions of Unit 13 also apply. In the event of any conflict, the General Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Safety instructions issued by Unit 13 employees and marshals must always be followed immediately.

1. Participation and general conditions

1.1 Age
The minimum age for participation in regular Unit 13 Airsoft events is 18 years. The minimum age for Junior Airsoft events is 12 years.

Valid identification may be required.

1.2 Legal requirements and permits
Participants are responsible for complying with the legal requirements, permits, memberships, exemptions or other documentation applicable to their participation.

The applicable provisions are further described in Article 6 of the General Terms and Conditions.

1.3 Reservations, cancellations and payments
Reservations, cancellations, no-shows, payment obligations and outstanding amounts are governed exclusively by Articles 5 and 8 of the General Terms and Conditions.

1.4 Course of the event
Unit 13 marshals supervise safety, fair play and the proper conduct of the event. Their instructions must be followed at all times.

Participants must not leave the designated event area or return to the parking area during active gameplay without permission from Unit 13 staff or a marshal.

1.5 Alcohol and drugs
The use of soft or hard drugs on the premises is prohibited.

Participants may not participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances that may affect safe participation. Alcohol may not be consumed before or during Airsoft gameplay.

Unit 13 may immediately refuse or terminate participation where intoxication or impairment is suspected.

1.6 Food and drinks
Bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted unless Unit 13 has expressly agreed otherwise. Food and drinks are available on site.

1.7 Rental equipment
Participants renting Airsoft equipment from Unit 13 must provide valid identification where required and must complete and sign the applicable rental and/or safety declaration before the equipment is issued.

Rental equipment:

• may not be transferred to another participant;
• may only be used in accordance with Unit 13 instructions;
• may only use BBs, magazines and accessories permitted by Unit 13;
• must be returned complete and in the condition reasonably expected after normal use.

Damage resulting from misuse, recklessness, negligence or failure to follow instructions may be charged in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions and the signed rental declaration.

1.8 Clothing
Participants are strongly advised to wear suitable sporting clothing and sturdy, closed footwear. Open footwear, slippers and high heels are not suitable for Airsoft activities.

2. Airsoft devices and safety

2.1 Transport and handling
Airsoft devices must be transported to and from Unit 13 in accordance with applicable legislation.

On the Unit 13 premises, Airsoft devices must remain inside a suitable closed bag or case until the participant has reached the designated safety zone or another area specifically designated by Unit 13.

Airsoft devices may only be prepared for use in areas designated by Unit 13.

2.2 Real weapons and dangerous items
Real firearms, alarm weapons, real knives, daggers, bayonets or other prohibited or dangerous weapons are not permitted during Unit 13 Airsoft events.

Dummy or training knives may only be used where expressly permitted by Unit 13 and must not have a sharp edge or point.

2.3 Mandatory digital safety briefing
Every participant must fully complete the Unit 13 digital Airsoft safety briefing before participating.

Participants who have not completed the required briefing may not enter the playing field or participate in the event.

If any instruction is unclear, the participant must ask a Unit 13 employee or marshal for clarification before entering the playing field.

2.4 Joule inspection
Every Airsoft device intended for use during an event must be presented for inspection where required by Unit 13.

Unit 13 measures and assesses Airsoft devices on the basis of muzzle energy expressed in Joules.

Only Airsoft devices that comply with the applicable Unit 13, event-specific and safety limits may be used.

Unit 13 may carry out additional inspections at any time during an event.

2.5 Manipulation after inspection
Modifying, adjusting or manipulating an Airsoft device after inspection in a way that may increase or alter its muzzle energy is prohibited unless the device is submitted for a new inspection before further use.

Violations may result in immediate exclusion from the event.

2.6 HPA and CO2 systems
Adjustable HPA and CO2 systems must be capable of being secured against unauthorised or interim adjustment after inspection.

A system that cannot be adequately secured may be refused by Unit 13.

2.7 CQB limits and playstyle
Within the Unit 13 CQB environment, only Airsoft devices that comply with the limits set by Unit 13 for the relevant event may be used.

Unless Unit 13 expressly communicates otherwise for a specific event:

• the maximum muzzle energy in the CQB area is 1.20 Joule;
• only semi-automatic/single-shot fire is permitted;
• burst and full-auto fire are not permitted in the CQB area;
• the maximum permitted BB weight is 0.25 grams;
• controlled and disciplined shooting is mandatory.

Unit 13 may apply stricter limits where required for safety.

2.8 BBs
Only BBs approved by Unit 13 may be used. Metal, glass, ceramic or other unsafe projectiles are prohibited.

BBs used in Unit 13 rental equipment must be supplied or expressly approved by Unit 13.

2.9 Lasers
Lasers may only be used if they comply with the applicable legal and Airsoft safety requirements and have the required class identification or approval.

Unit 13 may refuse any laser or prohibit its use during an event. Deliberately aiming a laser at another person’s eyes or using a laser to blind another participant is strictly prohibited.

2.10 Safety zone
When entering a safety zone, participants must:

1. remove the magazine or BB feeding device from the Airsoft device;
2. clear the Airsoft device in the designated safe direction where instructed;
3. place the fire selector on safe;
4. keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction and keep fingers away from the trigger.

Firing, dry firing or aiming an Airsoft device at another person inside a safety zone is prohibited, except where Unit 13 staff are carrying out authorised safety or technical procedures.

2.11 Eye protection
Approved Airsoft eye protection is mandatory outside the safety zone and in every area designated by Unit 13 as requiring eye protection.

Eye protection may not be removed on the playing field.

Full-face protection is strongly recommended for CQB due to the short engagement distances and the possibility of BB impacts to the face.

3. Gameplay rules

3.1 Controlled gameplay
Unit 13 operates a controlled CQB playstyle focused on safety, honesty, discipline and teamwork.

Excessive trigger spamming, uncontrolled shooting, reckless behaviour, deliberate escalation of disputes or deliberately refusing to acknowledge hits is not permitted.

Marshals may issue warnings or sanctions and have the final decision regarding gameplay and conduct.

3.2 Hit system
Airsoft at Unit 13 operates on the honour system.

When hit, the participant must clearly call “HIT”, indicate that they are out of play and follow the applicable respawn or medic rules communicated for the event.

3.3 Weapon hit
A hit on an Airsoft device counts as a hit on that device. Where permitted by the game mode, the participant may continue with a sidearm and should clearly call “Weapon hit”.

3.4 Blind firing
Blind firing is strictly prohibited. Participants must have visual awareness of the direction and target area into which they are firing.

3.5 CQB obstacles, walls and structures
Windows, doors, walls, obstacles and other structures may not be moved, damaged, pierced or modified unless specifically intended for that purpose and authorised by Unit 13.

3.6 Knife kills
Where the game mode permits knife kills, only a safe dummy or training knife approved by Unit 13 may be used.

A knife kill consists only of a controlled tap. Stabbing, striking or forceful physical contact is prohibited.

3.7 Dead players do not communicate
A participant who is out of play may not communicate tactical information to active players.

3.8 Medic system
Where a medic system is used, the specific medic rules for that event will be explained before or during the event and must be followed.

3.9 Pyrotechnics and grenades
Pyrotechnic devices are not permitted unless Unit 13 has expressly authorised their use for a specific event and such use is legally permitted.

Non-pyrotechnic Airsoft grenades or similar devices may only be used if approved by Unit 13. Unit 13 may refuse any device where its legality, construction or safety is uncertain.

Non-pyrotechnic devices may not be thrown blindly or in a manner that creates an unnecessary risk of injury.

3.10 Sound signals
Participants must follow the sound signals and emergency procedures communicated by Unit 13 during the digital safety briefing and/or event briefing.

3.11 Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

3.12 Vehicles and special game elements
If Unit 13 uses vehicles or other special game elements during an event, participants must follow all additional instructions given by the operating marshal.

The operator or marshal has the final decision regarding safe operation.

3.13 Shields
Riot shields or similar shields are not permitted during Unit 13 events unless expressly permitted for a specific event.

4. Enforcement, incidents and sanctions

4.1 Sanctions
Marshals may issue warnings or sanctions for unsafe conduct, cheating, disruption of gameplay or violations of these regulations.

Depending on the seriousness or repetition of a violation, Unit 13 may:

• issue a warning;
• temporarily remove a participant from the game;
• terminate participation;
• remove the participant from the premises;
• refuse participation in future events where justified.

Serious safety violations, violence, deliberate manipulation of inspected equipment or participation under the influence may result in immediate removal.

4.2 Violence and intimidation
Physical violence, threats, intimidation and aggressive behaviour towards participants, visitors, employees or marshals are prohibited.

Serious incidents may be reported to the police.

4.3 Accidents and dangerous situations
Any accident, injury, unsafe situation or serious equipment defect must be reported to a Unit 13 employee or marshal immediately.

Participants must immediately stop gameplay when instructed to do so and follow the emergency procedure communicated during the safety briefing.

First aid and medical assistance are governed by Article 14 of the General Terms and Conditions.

Liability and the normal risks associated with Airsoft are governed by Article 11 of the General Terms and Conditions.

4.4 Complaints and suggestions
Participants with a concern, complaint or suggestion should contact a marshal outside active gameplay. Where necessary, the marshal will refer the participant to a Unit 13 staff member.

Formal complaints are handled in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions.

4.5 Amendments
Unit 13 may amend these Airsoft Regulations where necessary due to safety requirements, changes in gameplay, applicable regulations or operational circumstances.

For contractual rights and obligations, the General Terms and Conditions of Unit 13 remain leading.

Final note

Safety and fair play are essential at Unit 13. Every participant is responsible for following the safety briefing, these Airsoft Regulations and all instructions issued by Unit 13 employees and marshals.
